Care and Maintenance for Performance Textiles
A simple maintenance rhythm helps functional curtain textiles stay clean, compliant, and visually consistent across busy commercial spaces. Use the guide below as a practical post-installation reference.
Routine care
Remove dust before it builds up. Use a soft-brush vacuum attachment on low suction every 2–4 weeks, moving top to bottom. For sheers, keep handling gentle and avoid aggressive pulling at hems.
Stain response
Act early. Blot spills immediately with a clean white cloth—do not rub. Test any neutral cleaner on a hidden area first, then treat from the stain edge inward. Avoid bleach or strong solvents unless the product specification explicitly allows them.
Inspection timing
Schedule quarterly visual checks and a deeper annual review. Confirm track operation, seam integrity, hook/header condition, and light-control consistency. In healthcare or high-traffic areas, increase inspection frequency based on hygiene and usage requirements.
Replacement planning
Plan replacement proactively rather than reactively. Track installation date, cleaning history, and exposure conditions. Keep approved reserve meterage or repeat-order references ready to maintain color continuity and compliance when partial panel replacement is needed.
